Chapter 1817: Standing His Ground Against A Martial Sage
Sword Force penetrated the empty space and dense cosmic power permeated the skies as Su Mo unleashed the Minor Heavens Star Sword Array.
Like a saintly sword god returning, sharp swords filled all corners of the empty space as they shot towards Hu Sheng.
“You don’t know your place!”
Killing intent surged through Hu Sheng’s face as he stared fiercely at the outburst of swords heading for him. With a simple flip of his palm, he pressed down through the air for a massive shadow of a hand to appear.
This shadow shot through the air and instantly travelled a hundred meters in the blink of an eye, acting as though curtains had fallen down from the heavens.
Boom boom boom!!
As the hand print crashed down through the sky, empty space crumbled apart, frightening all eyes.
Dense Strength Ultimacy was encompassed in the handprint, and it caused the speed of the Sword Array to slow down drastically.
At the same time, Su Mo, who was below Hu Sheng, slowly felt his body sinking under the weight of the Strength Ultimacy.
This Strength Ultimacy was crushing and it felt as though he was carrying a whole planet on his body. Despite Su Mo’s exceptional talents, he couldn’t help feeling crushed under the weight of the handprint.
“This Ultimacy is so strong!” Su Mo’s heart leapt in surprise. Hu Sheng’s Strength was no measly Ultimacy but a strong force to reckon with.
Su Mo had always thought that Ultimacies were just a supporting feature of a powerful attack. Yet, now, his opinion had changed.
This Strength Ultimacy minimally increased Hu Sheng’s attack strength by 50%.
In the blink of an eye, the wide handprint smashed against the Minor Heavens Star Sword Array with the force of 10,000 mountains.
Boom boom boom!
Explosions shook the sky and caused the starry space to jerk violently.
One by one, the Natal Spiritual Swords flew out in all directions.
Boom boom boom!
The large handprint that covered the sky very quickly neared Su Mo’s head after successive collisions and explosions with the Natal Spiritual Sword.
However, although the handprint was strong, its power had been cut in half due to the Minor Heavens Star Sword Array.
Su Mo remained fearless and stomped into the air, allowing the Empty Space beneath his feet to crumble apart as his body shot up to meet the handprint.
“Break!” Dazzling Sword Radiance flashed through the sky as Su Mo swung his sword heavily against the handprint.
Crash!
Like a waterfall, the large handprint was torn apart immediately and passed by Su Mo’s side without injuring him. As it traveled a few more meters, it self-destructed into shockwaves.
“How many more blows can you take?” Hu Sheng stared down at Su Mo as rage burned in his heart. He felt as terrible as if a fly had flown into his mouth for not being able to defeat a measly Su Mo even though he was a Martial Sage.
Boom boom boom!
Hu Sheng unleashed attacks unstoppably and handprints that stretched through the entire starry sky fell down layer by layer from him.
Vast Strength Ultimacy shrouded each handprint, seeming to be able to shift the nine heavens atmosphere below.
Su Mo’s immediately felt his body jerk as he was flying up towards Hu Sheng and he fell down helplessly again.
Terrifying Strength Ultimacy was an immense weight on him. If not for the strong defensive properties that his Blood Force carried, his physical body might have directly crumbled apart.
“As expected of a Martial Sage!” A cold breeze tightened Su Mo’s heart. He had underestimated the strength of a Martial Sage. They were on a different level from Martial Honorables.
With a flip of his hand, the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda appeared and shot through the air to crush the handprints unstoppably.
It borrowed the wind to expand rapidly into a 10,000 foot tall pagoda that shone brilliantly with glazed colored light.
Crack crack crack~~
As the glazed light met each handprint, sizzling sounds appeared along with the white bellows of smoke from the handprints.
One by one, the handprints were burned apart into a haze of white smoke that dissipated in the starry sky.
Compared to when Su Mo had used it as a Rank 2 or 3 Martial Honorable, the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda was stronger by many times.
It could only be considered an Upper Sacred Weapon now.
Boom boom boom!!
However, there were too many handprints with terrifying forces. Before they were burnt finish by the glazed colored rays of light, they smashed against the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda.
However, its forces had been reduced by almost 90%. Although the collision between the handprint and the pagoda caused the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda to lower continuously and shake from left to right like a twitching leaf, the handprints did not leave any significant impact.
A few moments later, all the handprints evaporated under the glare of the white light.
“Damn it!”
Hu Sheng roared angrily. He was not annoyed at Su Mo’s strength but his actions.
The Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda was his weapon and now that his opponent was using it against him, he felt enraged.
“Hu Sheng, I will see you again!”
At that point, Su Mo had retrieved all his Natal Spiritual Swords and flipped his palm to store the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda.
His body flashed and he shot towards the sky.
He couldn’t waste any more time battling with Hu Sheng as although Hu Sheng wasn’t incredibly strong, Su Mo knew his place.
Su Mo knew that at the very most, he could only stand his ground against Hu Sheng. It would be an impossible task for him to defeat Hu Sheng.
Furthermore, he had to use the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda to battle against Hu Sheng. Without it, he would be in trouble.
Even if he sacrificed Fighting Souls to increase his attack strength, he would at the very most be on par with Hu Sheng.
A Martial Sage was a Martial Sage indeed, they couldn’t compare to a Martial Honorable!
“Where do you think you are going?” Hu Sheng roared and his body flashed as he chased after Su Mo.
Su Mo frowned and with a mental thought, he stepped on a Natal Spiritual Sword and zipped through the sky.
However, even on the sword, his speed was still slightly slower than Hu Sheng’s.
The distance between the two was pulled closer and closer.
“Get lost!”
Su Mo whipped around and slashed his sword behind him unstoppably so numerous streaks of Sword Qi flew towards Hu Sheng.
A sky full of Sword Qi rained down from the sky like a tornado, blinding the eyes of onlookers.
“Destroy!”
Hu Sheng yelled out and punched, immediately destroying the Sword Qi.
Yet, huge shock waves followed after the explosion and Hu Sheng shot through them layer by layer without decreasing his speed as he chased after Su Mo.
Very quickly, Hu Sheng closed down on Su Mo and executed a strong attack.
Nonetheless, due to the large distance between the two, although Hu Sheng was stronger than Su Mo, his attack did not faze him.
The two thus continued with a battle in the sky as they exchanged blows one after another.
Hu Sheng did not faze Su Mo at all and he roared in anger. His voice boomed through the clouds from all the pent up anger stored inside him.
Not long later, Su Mo shot through the Nine Heavens atmosphere. Wendao Mountain was just below him.
By that point, Hu Sheng had to stop and his face turned as dark as water as he stared at Su Mo’s back.
“Damn it!” Hu Sheng was so angry, he felt like puking blood. No one would believe that he, a Martial Sage, was unable to deal with puny Su Mo.
However, he could not give up on the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda.
It seemed that he had to be shameless and ask a stronger Martial Sage for help to get it back as he was left with no other choice.
A few moments later, Hu Sheng gritted his teeth and headed back towards the Empty Sky Sect.
“He is gone?”
Su Mo lowered himself onto Wendao Mountian and lifted his head towards the sky. Seeing that Hu Sheng did not follow him, Su Mo coldly smirked.
With that, he shook his head and walked into the True Path Sect.
