Chapter 377 – It wasn't Su Ran who went; it was the child's father. (1)

Yes! My son is the best! No need to argue about it!

“Aiya, my son is handsome, mature, and gets good grades in school!”

Su Ran couldn't help but lamented when she looked over at Su Han, who was very focused on his video game on his cellphone while sitting on the other end of the couch.

Hearing the sudden flattery from the woman at home abruptly, Su Han was taken aback a little and was instantly killed by two of his opponents.

Su Han had also noticed that his woman had been getting lazier and lazier.

And he wasn’t talking about her laziness in her everyday life, but her attitude toward him.

In the past, she would ask him a lot of question before he went to school and she would pull open his collar to check and see that he really had on his fall undershirt and wool sweater.

Ever since after the final examinations, Su Han noticed that the woman’s attitude toward him had taken a nosedive.

She no longer cared about whether he was dressed warm enough or what time he was going to bed.

Sometimes, she would even ignore him altogether! She would be distracted when talking to him.

Su Han felt that he was being mistreated.

But he didn’t want to say that out loud.

As such, when Su Ran suddenly threw out all the flattery, Su Han was somewhat delighted.

Ahem, no, he was very surprised!

He thought about the only possible reason for that. Raising his brows, he put on a calm and very snotty look and asked coolly, “The grades have been released?”

“Eh? You know that as well? Are you classmates talking about that too?” asked Su Ran.

“No.” But he did notice that Du WenTao suddenly died in their game and he howled in WeChat, “Heaven wants to end me. Anyone wants to run off with me?”

That being said, the discussion would probably start soon in their class’s chatgroup as well.

Su Han was a little bit nervous about his ranking initially but, judging from the look on that woman, he was no longer nervous.

“Your teacher has posted your grades and school-wide ranking to the parents’ chat group,” said Su Ran. Blinking, she looked at her son and asked, “Guess how do you rank?”

“No. 1?” asked Su Han calmly as he lifted his brows.

“Yes! My son is so awesome!”

“Oh son. Say, how did you turn out so well?” Su Ran couldn't help but walk over and rubb the handsome face of her son excitedly as she said with a smile.

“You are the one who gave birth to me.” Su Han tossed out what Su Ran “loved to hear” cooperatively.

But, he was not so cute the very next second.

“Don’t rub my face,” said Su Han with a frown as he backed away from his mother’s evil grip and gave her a resentful look. “And you are overreacting.”

That may have been what he had said but, as he turned away coolly, where Su Ran couldn’t see, the corners of Su Han’s lips had also rose up uncontrollably.

Looking at her son and his face that she wasn’t sure whether it was reddened from her rubbing or from shyness, Su Ran had to try very hard not to bust out laughing.

Lifting her brows, she looked over at Su Han and said, “I’m not overacting. Let me tell you, Son, you scored #1 in the entire school. Besides, as per your class teacher, with your current grades, you can easily rank in the top 30 in City B. I am already very lowkey without hanging up banners and displaying fireworks.”

Hanging up banners? Displaying fireworks?

What was this woman thinking?

Su Han’s lips twitched when he heard Su Ran’s words.

“Ahem, I’ll go prepare dinner now. Would you like noodles or dumplings?” asked Su Han as he tossed away his cellphone and stood up.

Ever since they had moved to this new place, the level of their meals had gone up drastically.

Nevermind the time when Lu Shao was there. Even when Mr. Lu wasn’t there occasionally, their meals had been upgraded from steamed buns and eggs to buns, noodles, wontons, and dumplings.
