“You,” Su Han finally couldn’t help but asked before he walked inside of his room. “Did something bad happen again?
“Did you run into other problems?” The young man frowned and looked at Su Ran. There was resentment on his face but they failed to conceal his care and worries.
“Hmm?” Su Ran looked up and saw Su Han glaring at her solemnly while leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed.
“What you are talking about? Do you think your mother is someone who just goes around looking to get into trouble?”
Su Han: Aren’t you?
He didn’t say it out loud but his look said it all.
Su Ran: Oh hohoho. That’s why it was said that kids during their rebellious period were hated by both people and dogs. She noticed that her son was becoming less and less cute.
“Don’t worry. I didn’t cause any troubles or problems. I am just mulling over matters with regards to the competition!” said Su Ran gloomily as she gave Su Han a stare.
“Competition?” Su Han was curious.
“Uh huh. Piano competition to be exact.”
As a musician, in order for one’s work to become more sought-after and to climb to a higher level, all sorts of major music and piano competitions were a must in addition to one’s work being recognized and well loved on the market.
In her previous world, Su Ran had entered many music competitions and that was how she had come to fame.
Su Ran hadn’t forgot about her goal after her transmigration.
She must enter these major music competitions, especially the international ones.
When she saw the piano along with the flyer on the window of the music institution early today, Su Ran was reminded that many details and settings of this world seemed to bare a lot of resemblance to her old one.
So Su Ran started looking them up as soon as she had arrived home.
Sure enough, many of the major music competitions in her previous world also existed here. Though some of the names might vary a little, the content and the timing of the competitions were very similar.
The most recent international piano competition was three months from now.
Brahms. This was a competition that Su Ran valued a lot.
She must enter this one!
A new problem arose immediately before Su Ran was done being emotion.
When Su Ran entered this competition, she was already a musician with a little fame.
As she had received an invitation, she was able to skip over a lot of the hassles of signing up to the competition.
Now, however, she was but a musician with no fame, no work to show for, and no formal instructor. She didn’t even own a better piano.
Major international piano competitions like this one were not opened to just anyone.
She would need to somehow get her hands on a recommendation letter from one of the musicians signed off by the competition. With Su Ran’s current status, obtaining a letter of recommendation was about as difficult as obtaining an invitation.
That was a nonstarter.
The other option was to join the audition.
Normally there will be district audition before a competition.
If she could be one of the top three in the audition, she should also be able to earn the qualification for the competition.
Except that…
“You don’t need to do it if it’s too difficult,” said Su Han all of a sudden.
He had no idea what this woman found so disturbing but he did not wish to see her troubled.
Besides, he felt that Su Ran, as she was currently, was already quite good. She didn’t need to join whatever competitions to prove herself. As far as he was concerned, she was already very mighty.
Ahem, he meant in terms of music, of course.
“No. It’s not that much of an issue.”
Before Su Ran was famed, she had been to many of these auditions, albeit the fact that they had all taken place while she was still in school.
Even though it had been a while but Su Ran did not think that joining auditions again would pose much difficulties for her.
The only problem was that going through levels and levels of auditions would take a lot of time as well as over a long period of time. She wasn’t sure she’d have that much time to attend the competitions.
After all, she was no longer just by herself and has the luxury of staying inside her studio year-round as long as she has her three meals a day and didn’t starve to death.
In addition, she’d need qualifications even just to join the audition.
Where would she get these qualifications from?
