A+ A- Eye On

Chapter 177

The three of them finally settled in after they got inside the car.

“Mr. Lu, the location for the Quality Development Outing is over at West Park. Do you know where that is? Do you need me to GPS it?” Su Ran asked Lu Shao after she had settled in.

“No need.” He had already looked it up the night before.

“Uh. Mr. Lu. Thank you for coming so early. Have you had breakfast yet? If you haven’t, we brought some for you.” As she talked, Su Ran pulled out the two steamed buns that she had Su Han packed earlier.

Luckily, they were still warm and still edible.

Su Han, looking from one side: !

So the steamed buns that she had him packed earlier was for this old man?

Had he known, Su Han would have ate them on the spot rather than bringing them with them.

“Weren’t those our breakfast leftover?” said Su Han casually.

Su Ran had no way of knowing what was going through the mind of Lu Shao, who was driving. All she knew was that her hand was itching.

What could she do when she had the sudden urge to hit her child?

Su Ran gave Su Han a stare.

“It was true. I didn’t make that up,” said Su Han uncaringly.

Su Ran was screaming inside of her: Even if that was true, you still couldn’t say that out loud!

Besides, she had very good reason to suspect that Su Han did that on purpose.

“Uh, haha. Pardon me. That’s not what I meant to bring with. Let me see what else I have with me that edible,” said Su Ran to Lu Shao while smiling embarrassingly.

“No need. I already had breakfast before I left my house,” said Lu Shao.

Besides, he didn’t exactly feel like steamed buns right now anyway…

The cabin of the car fell silent once again followed by a long period of time with only the light crunching noise of Su Ran eating her chips.

“Son,” said Su Ran all of a sudden when she wiped off the potato chip crumbs from her hand while looking at her son who had been in an uptight mood since they have gotten inside of the car.

“What?”

“Are you sleepy?”

“No, I am not.”

“I feel that you are,” said Su Ran with most sincerity while looking at Su Han.

“It’s fine. If you are sleepy, you should take a nap,” said Su Ran again.

“You can lean on my head. C’mon, my head is ready for you.” Having said that, she placed her head on her son’s shoulder without a bit of care.

For someone who was always in a “jet lag” state, falling asleep in the day time was just a matter of minutes.

Su Han felt very defeated while looking at the woman who was so rightfully sleeping on his shoulder.

Why did you have to blame it on when you were the one who wanted to take a nap?

Besides, must you be so childish?

As much as he felt resentful toward it, the look on Su Han had still mellowed out.

Lu Shao, who was driving in the front, noticed what was going on in the backseat as well and took a glance back there.

“Su Han.”

“What?”

“There’s a blanket behind the seat.”

“Oh.”

As much as he didn’t like to accept any suggestion from this man, Su Han still quickly located the blanket and put it on Su Ran.

“Let me get this clear, I have no intention to recognize you as my birth father,” said Su Han to Lu Shao while looking at him piercingly through the rearview mirror.

“So.” Su Han paused, clenched his jaws, and said coldly, “Don’t push it!”

Now that Su Ran was asleep, he didn’t need to worry too much.

“Ho.” Lu Shao sneered when he heard that.

“Right back at cha. Don’t push it.” Having said that, Lu Shao, through the rearview mirror, glanced at the one sleeping on Su Han’s shoulder.

***

“Now that we have arrived, do you think you can take off now, mister?” That was what Su Han had said to Lu Shao rudely after he had jumped out of the car when they had arrived at the school’s campground at West Park.

He wasn’t shy about dismissing Lu Shao after the ride.

“Is that how you should be talking to me?” asked Lu Shao after he had gotten out of the car, closed the door, his hands in his pocket and looked at Su Han through squinted eyes.
