After watching over Su Han, the future big villain, all afternoon, Su Ran had almost forgotten about Gu Jiahao that minor character.
Now that Su Han reminded her, Su Ran was glad that she had moved quickly in resigning from her bar job.
After being threatened by her and finding out his biggest secret had been leaked yesterday, Gu Jiahao might have already sent someone to go to her old workplace to get his revenge.
“Don’t worry, that guy won’t be able to find his way here to get his revenge.”
The people that lived here didn’t know about the original owner’s past, and the people that used to know the original owner wouldn’t expect her to live in a shantytown.
“Really? What about in the future?” It was obvious that Su Han felt skeptical about Su Ran’s words.
“In the future? It’s unlikely for me to bump into him then too,” Su Ran answered.
As long as she didn’t go to Dongshan Court, it was unlikely they would run into each other. She and Gu Jiahao were only two small cannon fodder that didn’t have anything left to do with the novel’s plot.
Soon after, Su Ran thought of something and looked at Su Han with a serious face.
“What?” Su Han felt a bit uncomfortable from Su Ran’s gaze.
“That guy from yesterday, don’t be misled by his wealth. He’s not a good person. A good person wouldn’t have invited children to that type of party. If someone invites you to another weird party like that one, you shouldn’t go.” Su Ran tried to use her most tactful and soft voice to say this.
Looking at Su Ran, Su Han didn’t say anything, but his eyes exposed the strange emotions he was feeling.
Su Ran dryly coughed and asked, “Hey, do you have an objection on what I just said?”
She didn’t want to admit that she, an adult, was getting intimidated by a child. Why was she inexplicably feeling guilty too?
Pursuing his lips, Su Han didn’t answer Su Ran’s question. Lowering his head, he seemed conflicted about something.
Su Han gritted his teeth as he quietly asked, “Why did you go there yourself then?”
Su Han could vaguely guess what was going on at that party and why those scantily dressed women were there.
Wait, no! He already knew what kind of person this woman was. Why should he care why she went to that party?!
Su Han secretly felt annoyed with himself for asking that question.
And yet, he couldn’t stop himself from caring. He wanted to know what Su Ran would say.
“Umm…” Su Ran awkwardly smiled.
Why did she go there? She couldn’t tell her instant son the truth; his real mother went there to “entertain” the guests. But halfway there, his mother’s soul had been replaced with hers, and she was the one that had backed out of that job.
“I went there to get you.”
Hearing these words, Su Han clenched his fist and raised his head. He stared at this Su Ran with narrowed eyes.
“How did you know I was there?”
Su Ran: … @¥#%
Could someone tell her what was going on with kids these days? Were all of them so acute? Or was this simply the potential that a future villain would have?!
Laughing nervously, Su Ran said, “A friend of mine told me. The description she gave me sounded like you.” Even Su Ran wouldn’t believe what she was saying.
“Anyways, I found out you were there. It doesn’t matter how I found out!”
“Whatever!” Su Han flung down a word.
Hmph, why had he thought this woman would tell the truth?
Disappointment flashed through Su Han’s eyes. He turned his head and was about to return to the bedroom.
“Hey! Wait!” Su Ran called out. “Believe me when I say that Dongshan Court isn’t a good place!”
So please, don’t go there!
