Before Su Ran could suppressed the nervousness inside of her and said that out loud, she heard Lu Shao’s low and deep voice coming tenderly from behind her.

“I took over all of the family business when I was 20 years old. For the next 10+ years, I dedicated almost 90% of my effort on the family business and maintained the Lu family’s stability.

“Even when the Lu family had stabilized later on and there weren’t as much to take care of everyday, I had yet to recover from that state.”

Being in the high-stress state for a prolonged period of time had given him non physiological insomnia.

This was the first time that Lu Shao told that to anyone.

He was even being reserved when he was talking to his psychiatrist.

But, it seemed that he hadn’t had insomnia for quite a while.

“I had never considered marriage or being in a relationship. I didn’t have time to think about that in the past. I didn’t think about it later on because I had gotten used to being single.”

Pausing a little, he added, “All the way until I have run into you, and Su Han.

“I started fantasizing about a wife, a family.” Fantasies in many different areas.

“Like how we had it today. I like it. I like it a lot,” said Lu Shao with his lips curved upward, enunciated every word.

Lu Shao had said a lot.

As there was a lot of information, Su Han had yet to process all of them. She maintained her stiffened state and did not say anything.

With her back to Lu Shao, however, Su Ran did not see the burning sensation in Lu Shao’s eyes.

“I like days like this as well,” said Su Ran with a smile after she heard what Lu Shao had said.

In her previous life, Su Ran’s life followed a single routine for over 10 years. She had always felt that as long as her materialistic life was guaranteed, being able to create music without interruption, and earning the several awards every year, and then having numb and spicy crawfish behind her little assistants back from time to time was a good life. All the way until she had arrived in this world.

Alright, so she was a bit worried a while ago about male lead and his family. Nevertheless, with Su Han being there, it was the first time she had experience the happiness and fulfillment of having family.

She would be touched by her son’s concern for her. She would be proud of her son’s accomplishments. She would think that her son was the handsomest boy in the universe and that he was the best at anything and everything. Even if all he did was to score full marks on a test, or scored very high on an essay, she would still be very excited about it.

Occasionally, she would worry that Su Han would turn bad during the rebellious period and turn into major villain as described in the novel.

She would worry if something had happened to him if Su Han was home late.

Or that her son was so handsome, that he would be in a relationship early in life and be “picked” by some girl.

This was the first time that Su Ran knew she could experience so many different kind of emotions.

As for Lu Shao.

As much as she had always said how similar the father and son were, Su Ran full well that the feelings that she had toward Lu Shao was not the same as what she had for her son.

Even Su Ran had never realized since when did she start relying on her child’s father.

Lu Shao had slowly entered into her picture when she considered family matters.

She would consider how the father and son got along and what Lu Shao’s thoughts on the matters were.

She would feel safe around Lu Shao and stirred emotionally by promises that he made. She would even be touched by the little things that he had done for her.

It takes artistic concepts to create. As such, a creator needs to have a lot of emotions.

That was what Su Ran had been told once.

In the past, all of her artistic concepts had come from all sorts of dogblood cliché dramas.

Having experienced them herself now, Su Ran had learned that they were very different that what she had thought before.

No wonder she had always felt that something was lacking on that piece of work that she had never completed till the day that she died.

The bottleneck that she had once experienced no longer existed.

Once she had settled down, moved, and have her own piano, she planned to complete that piece of hers.

That was Su Ran’s plan.
