Yoonshin had assumed this was the case, but he had not expected to hear such a raw answer.
Stunned, Yoonshin pursed his lips firmly. His cheeks grew redder, becoming similar in pigment to his lips. Sehun watched this change and said in a seductive voice, “Every time I thrust in, you gasp for air and drool dribbles out of your gaping mouth. You must be loving it.”
Sehun’s gaze was so intense that Yoonshin couldn’t meet it. Sehun whispered furtively, but the contents were so explicit that Yoonshin swallowed back his heated breath nervously. His head dropped in bashfulness. Then, Sehun seemed to stop as he sipped his coffee after glancing at Yoonshin’s red ears. Perhaps he had to stop at this point. There was silence.
The two, who reached somewhat of a psychological critical point, tried to cool down the erotic atmosphere that built up rapidly. They both twisted their bodies toward the window. Soon, they were both admiring the night view.
Sitting side by side and watching the night sky was more romantic than expected.
Yoonshin’s clothes when he first entered the firm were light, but now it was almost winter. Two seasons had passed. A lot of things happened between then and now. As Yoonshin sat, reminiscing about everything that happened thus far, Sehun suddenly said, “What are you planning on doing about the follow-up with your blind date?”
“Oh,” Yoonshin sighed softly. He had forgotten about reality, drunk on the sweetness between them. Yoonshin peeked at Sehun then said apologetically, “I’ll have to make it like it never happened. But I can’t cut her off immediately.”
“Why not?”
“I have some circumstances. I need a bit of time before I refuse her offer. I’m truly sorry. I won’t meet her again, and I hope you can wait for me.”
Considering that they just confirmed each other’s feelings, Yoonshin knew that it was right to refuse the blind date partner as soon as possible. No, he should have already cleanly refused that relationship. Yoonshin’s innermost feelings weren’t exposed yet, but in any case, since the two of them had already passed a point of no return, this was the best he could do for all parties involved.
However, Yoonshin’s relationship with the blind date wasn’t a simple relationship between a man and a woman. He couldn’t bring himself to refuse her while separating this matter from his sister. Unless his sister’s position changed overnight, he wasn’t sure he could come up with a proper solution.
For someone like Sehun who was clear with beginnings and ends, he would never understand Yoonshin, who ended up in this situation. “You probably don’t understand.”
Instead of replying, Sehun stayed silent, deep in thought. He seemed to be figuring out why Yoonshin was acting like this. Then, he coolly said, “Seems like there’s some special reason for someone like you to be dipping one finger in several pies. You don’t look like you’re going to explain in further detail, meaning that you’re hiding this out of necessity despite usually being very honest. Ergo, you’re facing quite a complicated issue.”
“Scorn me if you want.”
“Because you want to feel better about it?”
He was on the mark. Yoonshin knew from the start that Sehun would see through him.
“I guess that won’t be possible, right?”
“I’ll exercise my right to silence.”
Usually, Sehun would have made some scathing remarks, subtly derided him, or walked out of this situation completely, but Sehun did none of that. He almost made it sound like he understood Yoonshin’s cowardice. Either Sehun knew something more, or he was being capricious.
